Observing the marks the elements and time in both natural and manmade environments is my passion. I want to capture the fragile beauty of these forces in my photographs as poems without words.

I let go of a lifetime working with film and large format cameras and switched to digital capture to make the biggest platinum prints I could make. As I learned to work differently, I grew to see differently.  The work you find on this website is the result of these changes. 

I continue to teach workshops but do so under the banners of other organizations. This makes it possible to spend more time on my creative projects. The upgrade of my platinum printing darkroom allows me to offer an Atelier opportunity for photographers wanting to make exhibit quality prints under my tutelage.I am grateful for the people who have influenced, taught, and mentored me. To those who have called me friend, I am humbled. To my sons and my wife, I am here because of you.
